2 Mil Plastic Sheet

General Description

2 Mil plastic sheeting, such as drop cloth sheets sold at the Depot. It is thick enough to be easy to handle, but not so thick you can't use it to place layups onto parts.

Velocity Use

Used for applying epoxy to layups, and placing the layup on the part. This is extremely handy with BID, which can move a lot if you try to wet it out on the part, or if you're placing the layup on top of micro/schmooey that you've just pressed the perfect radius into, or if you're going to be working over your head. Just let the layup get tacky on the sheet, and then apply to the part and it will actually stick.

Packaging Weights

Sold by the roll. Get plenty, it's hugely helpful.

Directions for Use

Cut to size. I like to mark the outline of the cloth onto the sheet so I can prewet just the area to get the layup.

Safety and Handling

See MSDS for the epoxy in use.
