This is reproduced from Antonio's personal build site.  The factory supplied spring broke while being heated and bent to adjust its shape. That was my fault and not a problem with the original. It did give me an opportunity to think about the stick forces at small and large deflections, hence this multi-leaf design which gives a non-linear force versus deflection gradient.

The original spring was made from BID while this one is mostly UNI. It is certainly more flexible and shows no sign of breaking at very high deflections. The width of the spring will be trimmed to adjust for the right stick force.
