Ken Mishler's design.  It prevents shimmy by locking the nosewheel straight ahead prior to takeoff, and maintaining it until after rollout.  The plane will turn with the nosewheel locked if you forget to unlatch it.   Note that a couple of folks have had issues with it, but most folks love it.
