While maneuvering in cruise flight, the pilot/builder of the experimental airplane noticed a fluctuating fuel pressure gage and then the engine quit. The pilot executed a forced landing onto an interstate highway For more information check out the accident page. Don apparently built 2 Velocities with the same N number, XL 3RX026 and DMO049... which is confusing, because the DMO is listed as destroyed even though the NTSB report shows the XL as involved in the accident NTSB.
