20 oz Kyntex Triaxial Cloth

General Description

A weave of E-glass (Electrical glass) the standard of the industry, both for marine and general aviation use. It is used throughout the construction. UNI is the short name for "20 oz Kyntex Triaxial Cloth" cloth, has strength fibers running in three directions with one of them being the Major Axis. The Major Axis is shown by a line on the cloth. The builder will use it for bulkhead reinforcement, the skin of the wings and canard, and fabrication of various hard points and energy absorbing pads.

Velocity Use

Used in very special circumstances where a great deal of strength is needed, particularly in one direction, such as the engine pads, and firewall to fuselage reinforcements.

Sold by the linear yard by the factory.

Directions for Use

Cut to length, apply epoxy, and apply to part.

Safety and Handling

When cutting, strands can become airborne - do not inhale them.
