Here are a couple of Velocity's with retractable nose-wheels (ala Long Ez), and non-retractable mains.  The Velocity prototype N401DM featured a retractable nose-wheel.  I know that someone else was building one like this, but I can't remember whom (NOTE: I think Herb Sanders did this, but I can't find his aircraft, Doug Holub on [[Holub N2980W|N2980W]], and maybe Wayne Owens on N33SV).
