Your host sports a fixed gear XL powered by a high-compression-IO540. As of December 2009 we're just finishing painting the fuselage and should be touching up the wings and getting back in the air shortly

N44VF was damaged in an off-airport landing in Otsico, Indiana while en route to the CSA Rough River Canard Fly-in at Rough River State Park outside of Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday September 27th, 2008. Read about it here and see some pictures below.

We struck a heavy reflector pole while avoiding putting a wing into a car windsheild
The second pole just graced the strobe
Oil sprayed everywhere in the hose, and rand through the cracks
Oil was running under Elizabeth's feet prior to touchdown
