Intent
This page is intended to aid folks in marketing their aircraft, and maybe some of the more thoroughly tested Velocity modifications (e.g. Ken Mishler's nose wheel locking mechanism). Please don't abuse it and list your 20 year old 10-speed bike here or something....
Note: I do not have a stake in any of the aircraft or products, and I'm not endorsing any product or declaring it fit for any use or purpose. This is a service for the community to facilitate connections. Buyer Beware. Your mileage may vary. Don't sue anybody. Or at least don't sue me.

Tom Tolton XL/FG-5
Fast Build XLFG -5 Kit for Sale:
The required additional investment and time to build have prompted me to put my kit up for sale. I am looking to recover my $68,500 investment. I purchased the XLFG-5 with the factory fast build wings and fuselage option in January 2009 spending two weeks in the head start program. I have about 1900 hours of build time and have completed the majority of the fiberglass work: wings complete with ailerons and rudders fitted; elevator fitted onto canard and canard onto fuselage; strakes installed; airbrake installed; keel installed; bucket and bench seats assembled and fitted in fuselage; rudder pedal assembled and fitted to canard bulkhead; NACA inlet ducting for oil, cockpit and engine cooling installed in the fuselage; sump tank made; and nose wheel and assembly installed.
I have kept a daily log of my work and have complete set of photographs. No painting other than the fast build priming has been done so that the quality of my layups can be easily examined. All uninstalled parts are bagged and can be matched to the original inventory. Jigs for supporting and to simplify flipping the fuselage have been developed.

Hal Smith XL/RG
The wings and winglets are built and the winglets are attached. Both are ready for the fill coat and then the ailerons and rudders can be finished. Canard and elevators are built ready for finishing. Keel and controls are installed. Speed brake is installed and operable. All the hydraulic plumbing is installed. Landing gear has been installed for initial fitting. Wheels are on to facilitate moving. There has not been any work done on engine fitting yet because I was going to install a turbo-prop. Bottom half of fuselage is almost ready to have the top half attached. The two rear windows are installed in the top half of fuselage. I will sell it for just what I paid for the kit when I bought it in 2005. $45,000. Brakes are not yet installed because I was thinking of upgrading to the toe brakes. h.smith61[at]verizon.net 425 359 2197

Alex Strong's Pitch Trim
Check out Alex's pitch trim system for Velocity's here. We're testing out his system in our Velocity N44VF, and will let folks know how we like it. It's a very nice installation, in-keel, which saves a bunch of fuss behind the instrument panel.

Ralph Robertson's WingCo.(Alan Shaw) built Velocity 173 RG wings and canard
These wings were built in 1995 using fiberglass and carbon fiber, wing molds, and vacuum bagging. The aircraft was never completed and the wings have lived in a hangar untouched since delivery.
